Used to be alright, now it's simply unjustifiable. I had the same problem. I decided to try the Web Dev nano degree. I was very frustrated at the lack of help, lack of content and the disorganization of videos. For example we started learning Python which I really liked but what they taught us was so far from complete that I got really mad. I was told that is all I really need to learn in Python on their forums.
Since then I have taken Python and Web Dev courses on Udemy and have learned a million times more and for a lot less money. I complained to Udacity and they would not get back to me at all about all my complaints. Very expensive learning lesson. Udemy is awesome. The content is often better than Udacity. If you feel that Udacity was deceptful or did not live up to the promises they made, you could file a complaint to the better business bureau. This is a great low cost option that gives consumers, like us, a strengthened voice.
If Udacity doesn't respond, they get dinged. I see now their career services have even gone up too. Many online students abandon MOOCs when they get stuck for one reason or another. Ready-to-help mentors help to combat this and to raise retention rates of students.

Udacity used to have an iOS and Android app. For me, a large part of online learning takes place outside of home.
I like to listen to lectures while walking or being in the gym. Having a dedicated smartphone app makes this process much more user-friendly. It is possible to simply go with the mobile version of the Udacity website. It was not the ideal learning experience. An auto-play feature would have been helpful. I hope that within , Udacity will once again release a new smartphone app.
As of right now, a lack of one was a major disadvantage for me. I would have enjoyed some more practical exercises thrown into the Nanodegrees.

Above all, the well-built curricula, mentorship, and career services make the platform worthwhile. During this review, I dug deep into the various features of Udacity. I analyzed the Nanodegrees, user interface, online reviews, and more. My review of Udacity was somewhat limited by the fact that I have only taken a single Nanodegree myself.
It could be that other Nanodegrees are better or worse, and I would not have any recollection of that. Yet, I remain confident in my assertions of Udacity despite this fact. That is because the online reviews of Udacity that I read all seemed to mirror the same points as I did. Nanodegrees are expensive in — everyone seems to agree on that. And, the career services and mentorship are some of its greatest strengths.
While they have gotten rather expensive as of late, they still offer tremendous value for students. Especially so for students interested in artificial intelligence, data science, or business.
